Lonely, Depressed And Alone

When you feel you can’t just believe that you can

Trust in who you are and not in how you feel

Take a step forward in a gentle but definite way

And tell yourself “Well Done” for paths are built this way

Don’t stop to question too much, just move away from still

Drive on despite the difficulty, just move and force your will

Each tiny step of braveness that you individually take

Will lead to somewhere better than nowhere, with distance in your wake

Believe that you can choose in life to find a better state

That mind and body can power through this quiet and deadened space

To unlock the very heart of you that’s drifted out of reach

Lost without an anchor, yearning for warm embrace
